El Salto came about when DFW artist Steve D. needed a way to help spread the word about his artwork in a unique and fun way. His love of obscure Japanese mascots such as Pepsiman and Segata Sanshiro gave him the brilliant idea that his work needed a hero! Enter El Salto: a courageous babyface (good guy) skilled in both high flying maneuvers and painful submission techniques!

But El Salto is not one to shy away from the world outside the squared circle. Like El Santo, Blue Demon and others before him, El Salto hopes to share the world of Lucha Libre through all forms of art.
